Cocobolo Necklace by Jane Cucchiara

You will never quite experience wearing a necklace as light as this one. I must admit that the first one I made, after wearing, I had to have it for myself. The earring are so comfortable, you may forget they are on.

My husband and I were making beads from reclaimed exotic woods that we recycled. After many hours of hand sanding done mostly by Peter, I composed the necklace with small and large tablet shaped beads. The large beads are 25 mm and the smaller are 12mm. The length is 22 inches long. The earrings are 2 ¼ inches long.

The wood is cocobolo. The countries of origin are Central America and Mexico. The accent beads are all gold plated.
