I guess this is the place for my biography. I hope you have looked at my work first before reading this. If not, stop reading and go look now! My work should speak for itself. It shouldn’t matter what my name is, where I’m from, how old I am or what schools I attended. All you need to know is I am an artist creating art in hope to make other people smile and be happy. Just enjoy the work and don’t rattle your brain for a symbolic meaning. You will plainly like it or you won’t. Make up your own story. Why is this piece of art important to you? Is it that you like the color red? Or it looks like your brother? It will go well in your house? Whatever it might be, I’m happy that you have found a special bond with my work. If you’re happy, I’m happy! In the end, you will have a painting on your wall. It won’t be me hanging there. (Of course, if you pay well, I would gladly hang on your wall. Just kidding.) Sit back, enjoy and smile!!!!!
Artist’s Statement:
If I bring one more smile, one more laugh or one more positive thought in this world, it will make me happy. I hope to achieve that every day. Even if I don’t succeed with millions in my pockets, I will feel content with one more smile on someone’s face. The world is so full of terrible things happening every day. It’s hard to get away from all of the negativity; fighting, stealing, killing, hatred………geeze, everyone deserves a smile or a big ‘ole laugh more and more to get away from these things. My art makes me happy whether I’m working a new piece or I’m standing back to get a look at it. My colors I use should be inspirational to live by. The colors are bold, lively and standing confident for the entire world to see!!! I think that is all that matters in life; is to be happy! We only have one life to live, so why not get out there and kick negativity in the butt.
Get out there and do what you love to do.
I just hope that my painting will bring you a smidge of happiness whether you have one hanging in your living room or you are just walking by a gallery window.
P.S. If you really must know, I am a young woman in my 20’s. I live in Washington. Art has been my passion since age two. My parents have tons of notebooks filled with my drawings. I started my professional career (getting paid) at age fourteen, by painting murals in homes. I have had several independent art shows and I participate in juried art festivals.
Art is what I do; there is no question about it. Art is my relaxation and my release.
