Jenna Colby is a Seattle based artist. When asked, “how long have you been painting?” she will say, “I have always painted”
Jenna started showing her art about 3 years ago. Always wanting to be a painter, she took roundabout paths to get there. Finally when approaching the 30 year old point...she decided to take a more direct route.
“If I don’t do it now... when?”
She started showing locally in alternative spaces (local cafes and clubs) and quickly developed a local following. Within a year of starting... she made the commitment to work full time as a painter.
“I feel that the moment I made the commitment...trashed the false safety net... I put it out into the world that I am... indeed serious about my art work...I have enough work in me to make it happen... I have been shown in many ways that this is destined to be.”
Since working full time as a painter, Jenna has been showing in galleries, both local and national.
